Our Livestock
DnS Farm believes that paying attention to what you are eating and knowing where your food comes from will help you take control of your overall well-being. We invite you to learn more about our happy and ethically raised cattle and chickens:
Cattle
We breed only Angus and Wagyu cattle. We practice rotational grazing, so our cattle always feed on fresh grass. Studies show that 100% grass-fed beef, like the kind we offer at DnS Farm, is healthier than conventional beef because it:
- Contains healthier fats.
- Has fewer calories.
- Supports healthy blood sugar levels.
- Contains electrolytes.
- Keeps your heart healthy as it reduces the risk of heart disease.
- Contains more protein.
In just one grass-fed strip steak (214 grams), you’ll receive:
- 49 g protein
- 45 mg omega–3 fatty acids
- 0.3 mg Riboflavin (16% DV)boost energy.
- 14.3 mg Niacin (72% DV)
- 1.4 mg Vitamin B6 (70% DV)
- 28 mcg Folate (7% DV)
- 2.7 mcg Vitamin B12 (2.7% mcg)

Chickens
due to the avain flu, we are not selling poultry or eggs at this time
Our farm takes pride in raising our chickens on 108 square feet of pasture year round. They enjoy plenty of sunshine and fresh air while freely roaming, and feeding on a foraged, chemical-free diet.
To ensure we have enough fresh grass for our chickens, we practice rotational grazing, where only one portion of our pasture is grazed at a time. This allows the grass of the other portions to rest, recover, and deepen its root system. This practice also improves the quality of our pasture’s soil and plants.
Our pastured-raised chickens have a better taste and a much higher level of nutrition then their commercially raised counterparts. In addition, data from the US Department of Agriculture shows that, compared to commercial eggs, eggs from hens raised on a pasture have:
- 1/3 Less Cholesterol
- 1/4 Less Saturated Fat
- 2/3 More Vitamins
- Twice as many Omega-3 Fatty Acids
- Three times more Vitamin E
- Seven times More Beta Carotene
