Why use our fresh DNS Farm ginger?
Our ginger is grown on Salt Spring Island and sold fresh in season. It has a bright aroma and lively flavour that works beautifully in tea. Depending on the harvest, the skin may be tender enough that you don’t need to peel it.
Grocery-store ginger is often shipped and stored before it reaches the shelf. Choosing DNS Farm ginger gives you a locally grown option, and supports a small Salt Spring Island farm. Store-bought ginger can still work in this recipe—use whichever fresh ginger you have.
